libevt1 software package provides Windows Event Log (EVT) format access library, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libevt1
libevt1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libevt1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libevt1 *
You will get with libevt1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
